Beating the Warehouse Traffic for a Local Family
Back in 2014, right when the warehouse construction boom near the airport was peaking, we got a call from a family clearing out a historic property near the old winery. The narrow access roads were choked with construction vehicles and semi-trucks, making it a nightmare to navigate. The big national haulers had already missed two scheduled deliveries because they didn't want to fight the gridlock on Archibald, leaving the homeowners stuck with a garage full of debris and a looming closing date.
I knew the shift changes at the local distribution centers, so we planned the drop for early morning before the heavy rigs clogged the streets. We squeezed a 20-yard bin into a tight spot near the back fence, placing it on wood planks to protect the aging asphalt. We hauled it away 48 hours later exactly as promised, letting the family close their sale on time while the other trucks were still sitting in traffic.
Roberto got the dumpster here when the big companies gave up on the traffic.
